I've been adding more detail to the base of my genestealer trygon. So far, it's gone pretty well!
For full pics, go visit my tyranid gallery.
I've added a guardsman, clinging desperately to the gantry whilst a genestealer clambers after him. Still finishing off to do, but not bad so far!

Classic Genestealer Trygon
Well, since I got my new trygon, I've been having so much fun!
With the first of my two trygons, I have made an addition for my classic genestealer army. Here it is!
It's been made in much the same way as my classic genestealer carnifexes. The back was cleaned and resculpted, the claws created from bits from both trygons, the scything talons are from the tyranid warrior set (they look smoother and more like extended stealer claws, linking them with my other fexes, lictors etc.
However, my real joy came in building the base...
For full pics, just head over to my Tyranid Gallery.
As I've learnt from my carnifexes, magnetising is a great thing. So, here is my magnetised trygon. I hope to get an extra head so can use this model for all three kinds of trygon/mawloc, depending on how I feel. It's also a bit more future proof - as I need to go back and rebuild a bunch of my old fexes...
For full pics, again just head over to my Tyranid Gallery.

Here he is!
He's another member of my classic genestealer army, and my first attempt at anything smaller than a carnifex.
If you want to see some more pics, head over to the tyranid gallery!

Genestealer Tyrant and 'fex heads
These are the heads for my genestealer carnifex and tyrant. The plates on the top have mostly been removed, and greenstuff has been used to bulk out the side of each head to give it a more 'stealer like apperance. Noteable is the subtle veins on the top 'fex head - done by Ben, a local at the Cambridge Games Workshop, and the veins on the tyrant head, done by me after Ben showed me how!
These are very much prototypes, although I'll still paint and use then with the current models. I'm already working on an alternative tyrant head, with a wider mouth and a ribbing usually seen on the backs of my genestealers shwoing through on the sides of the head.
As ever, more images can be found in the tyranid gallery.
Whilst you're in the photo gallery, check out some of the other gallerys - my Space Marines, Space Hulk terrain and Imperial Guard!

I'm now well on the way to finishing off my Genestealer Tyrant - I've paused for the night to let the existing greenstuff dry.
So, here is it:
This is still WIP, and full pics can be seen in the Tyranid Gallery!

Another 'Stealer Fex!
Well, I've not almost finished my second 'Stealer fex!
For full details, go look at the Tyranid Gallery!
It's been a full build. And just as a teaser, I'm also working on a genestealer tyrant!

Yay! I got my computer back!
It's been out of action for two weeks, so I've been quite quiet! However, I put that time to good use and now I have this to show for it!
Head over to the Tyranid Photo Gallery for more pics!
I've also been getting on doing some 3D space hulk terrain, and beginning to paint my many, many, MANY genestealers! Hopefully more pics to follow soon!

This weekend, a friend came over and we had an enjoyable day pitting Blood Angels against my tyranid horde. A 500pt and 1000pt battle later, the Tyranids stood victorious, and the Blood Angels stood glaring evily at their battle brothers 'armed' (in the loosest sense of the word) with missile launchers...
The Blood Angels fared poorly in both battles. In the smaller battle, good use of terrain managed to keep all but one gaunt alive until turn two, by which time the twin linked deathspitters of my warriors and devourers of my carnifex were all in range. A pair of missile launching Tactical Marines will now be spending MUCH time doing rites of penetance for their complete inability to hit the broard side of a carnifex...
The second, larger battle saw a ballanced marine force facing a Nid-zilla list. Even the lascannon armed dreadnought was unable to see off the monsterous creatures pitted against the marines, and it took the combined might of a chaplain and captain to take down a flying hive tyrant. However, a Screamer Killer 'fex and Dakka Tyrant felled these two imperial heros! Only a last turn dash by the final two marines alive managed to contest the tyranid objective, forcing a draw. With the remaining three monsterous creatures and twenty 'without number' gaunts bearing down on them, surely they would not long survive...
The day ended with the distant, plaintive cries of the fallen... "Twelve strength 6, re-roll to hit, re-roll towound shots? TWELVE??"
Seriously though, I was very happy with how my 500pt list performed. My Nidzilla list was very tough, helped by some good luck on the turn of the dice! It did leave me wondering how I'd counter it (Sternguard!!).
